Since ‘Design by Animals’ the Front design group – Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von der Lancken and Anna Lindgren – have been the hottest names on the Scandinavian design scene. Their new office collection for Materia is inspired by common everyday objects. “Peg” is their own version of the most common kind of self-adhesive plastic peg that you can find in so many styles all over the world. Ordinary coat hangers are combined to create a new and exclusive coat stand. And waste basket “Bin” changes shape depending on how much trash it holds. Front have transformed the world’s most conventional objects into something you have never seen before.
