Yarn comes from “The Kinship Method” experimental collaborative project. Based on the armchair, a sleek easy chair has been developed. Sustainability and environmental care are central to the design and choice of materials. In Materia’s production, the back’s beautiful pattern is braided by hand using hemp strings. The seat and back cushions are padded with hairlok, which is a mixture of horsehair and natural latex, as well as needle felt of Swedish sheep wool. For extra comfort, the Swedish sheep wool is also used as padding in the back cushion. The wood in the seat is FSC® labelled and the frame with recycled steel is available in Colours by Materia (CbM*). Yarn easy chair is suitable for many different spaces, such as hotels, lounge areas and offices. The armchair and easy chair are also excellent choices when environmentally friendly furniture is a requirement.
