The Amis sofa is made for environments where people meet for conversations, breaks and spontaneous get-togethers. The name Amis (pronounced ah-mee) means “friends” in French and reflects the idea of creating spaces for community. The soft, rounded design gives a welcoming expression, while the slim format makes the Amis easy to place in open working environments, canteens and project rooms. Amis consists of a two-seater sofa and a bar stool that can be used either separately or together. With a seat height of 630 mm, adapted for tables with a height of 900 mm, the Amis has been developed for active sitting where the focus is on flexibility and interaction. The frames in the seat and back are made of FSC®-labelled wood from responsible forestry. Frame made of bent steel tubing in Colours by Materia (CbM). Visible screw holes are covered with colour-matched polypropylene plugs in the frame’s lacquer colour, and the back attachment is finished with a cast aluminium component.
